ImageNorma Jean Billman Kelly, 80, of 18 West Avenue, Oil City, died at 9:20 am Sunday, February 28, 2010 at her residence.

Born February 4, 1930 in Butler, PA, she was a daughter of the late Norbert F. and Rachel McGlincy Billman.

Mrs. Kelly attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received a B.S. in Music Education.  She was also classically trained on the pipe organ.  She accompanied the Venango Chorale Society for many years.

She was the church organist at Second Presbyterian Church for 45 years, retiring in 2007.  She previously taught music at the Oil City and Cranberry school districts.

Mrs. Kelly was a 58 year member of Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City, Winifred Tonkin Guild, Oil City Garden Club and Schubert Club.

She enjoyed music, traveling, sewing and the musical theatre.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On June 26, 1954 she was married to Kenneth Dale Kelly who preceded her in death on March 12, 2008.

Surviving are a daughter, Kay K. Guyton and husband TJ, of Apex, NC, three sons, Jeffrey K. Kelly of Carlisle, PA, Scott A. Kelly and wife, Kathleen of Wexford, PA, and Timothy D. Kelly and wife, Heather of Collegeville, PA.  She also has 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister Carol McConnell of Butler, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother J. Kenneth Billman and a sister Dorothy Billman.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 6, at Second Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Second Presbyterian Church, 111 Reed St., Oil City, PA  16301 or to a charity of one’s choice.
