Thomas L. Reed, 56, of Galax VA, died at 8:07 pm Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Titusville Area Hospital. Born September 18, 1953 in Oil City, he was a son of Doris Spies Reed and the late William F. Reed. Mr. Reed graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1971. He served in the US Air Force. Mr. Reed enjoyed the outdoors and sports, especially playing softball. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Michael Reed and Bill Reed; one grandson, Kyle Reed; three sisters, Barbara Doverspike of Polk, Nancy Boggs of Dempseytown and Laura Lehnortt of Oil City; two brothers, John Reed of Oil City and Bruce Reed of Seneca; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday in Morrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Knight, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of one’s choice. |
