ImageJohn Robert Osgood, 55, of 572 Bucktail Road, Franklin, died at 1:50 am Sunday, July 18, 2010 at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh.

Born August 10, 1954 in Oil City, he was a son of Elizabeth Anna May Bickel Osgood and the late Richard Lee Osgood.

He was raised by his Aunt Winnie Paup of Oil City and his late Uncle Pete Paup.

Mr. Osgood worked at Weaver Buick prior to working at Conair/IPEG for 30 years where he held multiple positions.

He attended the Victory Heights United Brethren Church.

Mr. Osgood spent a lot of time working on his 1971 Plymouth Duster and attending car shows and cruises.

He enjoyed reading, surfing the web, racing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also liked watching and reading about history, the military and cars.

He has been married to the former Linda Sue Alsbaugh for 29 years. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Chad Clark and wife Diane and their children Jacob, Caleb, Hannah and Leah of Rising Sun OH; a daughter, Holly Heim and husband Mike and their children, Macayla and Emily of Sarver; a sister, Sandy Osgood of Madison OH; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and his cat Dusty.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Murray.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Wednesday with the Rev. Steve Henry officiating.

Interment will be at Mt Collins Cemetery in Tionesta.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Victory Heights United Brethren Church, 5978 US 322, Franklin PA 16323.
